Our wood photo engravings are sustainably sourced single-slab American poplar. Hand-made to order in the USA, poplar is a lightweight wood that ranges from a silvery white to shades of green... sometimes, with black woodgrain.

To further enhance the natural beauty and uniqueness of these custom portraits, loose bark is hand sanded to a smooth finish to preserve the wood's live-edge aesthetic and natural curves.  

NOTE– Poplar wood has significant variations in color and wood grain pattern, so no two pieces will ever look the same. For this reason, engravings may be vertical or horizontal, so if you have a preference, please let us know!

TURNAROUND TIME:

• Ready for approval in 2-3 business days (M-F, excluding US holidays)
• If approval is not received within 2 days, we will engrave as submitted
• Your product will arrive 3-5 business days after approval is received

TIPS FOR HIGH QUALITY ENGRAVES:

• The higher quality your image, the better the finished product will be! So please use high-resolution photos if possible.
• Avoid using images with dark backgrounds
• Avoid using images taken in low lighting
• Make sure there is lots of contrast between the picture subject and background

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Due to the natural curves of the wood, dimensions are approximate (but close) to what's specified
• Engravings may be vertical or horizontal. If you have a preference, specify it in special instructions
